The patronage of this event is held by Ryszard Grobelny the President of Poznań.
- Date and venture
- The Marathon will take palce on 10th of October in 2010 via the streets of Poznań with the finish at Malta Lake.
- Start at ul. Antoniego Baraniaka (about 1 km from the canoe hangars – the marathon's cloackroom) at 10.10 a.m.
The participants must check in between 9.30 and 9.40 a.m.
The route covers 2 loops for the marathon.
- Finish: Malta Lake – canoe hangars.
- Marathon length: 42,195 km – the route has got AIMS and IAAF Certificates.
- Participants start running in the following order:
- runners with start numbers from 1 to 50
- other runners behind them
- Each killometer of the route will be marked.
- Time measurement in Champion Chip – the official time is brutto.
- Food, refreshment and control points, time limit.
- Food points will be located every 5th km along the route.
The table at food points will be placed in the following order:
- the first poit – water for sponges
- the second point – water
- the third point – isotonic drink
- the fourth point – bannanas
- Control points will be located along the route, also in Champion Chip system.
Points personnel will be noteing down the start numbers of the runners who will try to take a shortcut along the route. Such runners will be disqualified.
- The time limit for the marathon competitors is 6 hours. The marathon route is closed for car traffic untill 4.15 p.m. Participants who do not finish the marathon untill 4.15 p.m. are obliged to discontinue running and reach the finish point by the bus marked "Marathon's finish".
- The director of the marathon can take a decision to change the time limit.
- Participation
- In 11 Poznań Marathon can participate people who are 18 years old by 10th of October 2010.
- All competitors taking part in the 11th Poznań Marathon must be verified at the Marathon's Office between 7th and 9th of October 2010. All participants must present their identification cards or passports.
- Cloakrooms will be located near the marathon finish (at canoe hangars). Participants must leave their possessions packed in bags marked with their start numbers at 9.30 a.m. Collecting bags will be possible only after presenting the start number. Losing the start number by a participant absolves the organizer from the responsibility of collecting the bag by any other person. The Organizer suggests to deposit any personal possesions of participants spending the night in the hotel of the Poznań Center of Sports and Recreation. The Organizer dose not take any responsibility for possessions left in the cloackrooms.
- The participants of the Marathon are obliged to adhere to the provisions of IAAF and PZLA as well as these regulations.
- Medical check-ups
- During the verification the participants must sign the list of persons who agree to take part in Poznań Marathon.
A person who collects a starting number on behalf of another person needs to present a declaration of participation on this person’s own responsibility which should be signed by such person (form).
- In specific cases which demand a medical check – up doctor's decision taken before and during the marathon is absolutely decisive.
- Classification
The following classification will be made in the 11th Poznań Marathon:
- General: women and men.
- Age classification of women and men: 18-29, 30-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55–59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75 and older.
- The best Pozań man and woman.
- The oldest woman finishing the marathon.
- The oldest man finishing the marathon.
The final announcement shall be provided http://www.marathon.poznan.pl (to download), within 30 days after receiving a report from the Anti-Doping Commission.

- The deadline for applications is on 30th of September 2010.
- The right to free of charge participation on the condition of applying untill 30th of September 2010 have the following people:
- participants who have finished 10 Marathons in Poznań – "Poznań Marathon"
- people invited by the Marathon's Direcor himself
- The right to 50% discount on the start fee have the following participants:
men and women above 60 and more years of age.
- The Organizer limits the number of participants at 6 000 people.
- Applications will be accepted via the application form on the Internet page
http://www.marathon.poznan.pl and in the Marathon's Office on application cards of Poznań Marathon ( photocopies are also accepted).
- Applications
are valid after delivering by participants filled up application forms
and coming in the oraganizer's bank account the fee of 75 PLN (gross).
- People who declare to run with a yellow chip shall pay a participation pack fee reduced by gross PLN 5.
The fee once paid cannot be paid back which means that the applicants confirm that they are acquainted with the marathon's regualtions and they are ready to comply with them. At the same time they give their assent to process their personal data for the marathon's needs.
Warring – Start fee:
- after 30 September 2010 applications for participation will not be accepted
- the participation fee shall appear in the organizer’s account by 4 October 2010
- The organizer do not take any resposibility for lost of applications and payment cofirmation with post or bank guilty.
- The
verification of participants, giving out start numbers and awards will
be held in the Marathon's Organizationl Office at Arena Hall Wyspiańskiego Street 33 at
the following hours:
- on 7th of October between 2 p.m. and 8 p.m.
- on 8th of October between 9 a.m. and 10 p.m.
- on 9th of October between 9 a.m. and 11 p.m.
On the day of the marathon (Sunday) the Office will be closed.
The chips are disposable and are not refundable – the fee for time measurement is included in the participation pack fee.
- Awards
- Winners
in general women classification (I – III positions), men (I – III)
positions will be awarded with
cups.
- Winners in each age category of women and men will be
awarded with a cup for the first position, and suveniers for I,II, and
III position.
- Winners in the best Poznań man classification
(I position), the best Poznań woman (I position), the oldest woman
finishing the marathon and the oldest man finishing the marathon (I
position) will be awarded with cups.
- Money awards:
- in general men classification:
1st position: 10 000 PLN
2nd position: 7 000 PLN
3rd position: 5 000 PLN
4th position: 3 000 PLN
5th position: 2 500 PLN
6th position: 2 000 PLN
7th position: 1 500 PLN
8th position: 1 000 PLN
9th position: 500 PLN
10th position: 500 PLN
- in general women classification:
1st position: 10 000 PLN
2nd position: 6 000 PLN
3rd position: 4 000 PLN
4th position: 3 000 PLN
5th position: 2 000 PLN
6th position: 1 000 PLN
- bonuses: for breaking the route record (under 02:13:45) among runners:
a man: 10 000 PLN
a woman: 5 000 PLN
- Awards
in general women classification (positions I–VI) and general men
classification (positions I–X) are granted to participants according to
the order of crossing the finsh line.
- Awards in age women and men classification will be granted to participants according to netto time.
- The winner of marathon with the time under 2:12:00 will be granted a car.
- A car will be drawn among all participants who finish the marathon and answer the quiz question.
- All
women and men who finish the marathon under 6 hour's time will be granted a medal.
- The winners of money awards will pay the tax in accordance with the tax law.
- Money
awards will be granted only into participnats' bank account via a bank
transfer (they will not be paid in cash) after receiving the minutes
from the Commision for Fighting Doping in Sport.
- In order to receive a cash prize into a bank account, you have to fill in the necessary forms required by the Tax Office and send them to the organiser’s address within 30 days from the event finish date. To download the form, click here.
- Anti – doping control
- Winners of I, II, III positions in general women and men classification must face anti–doping control.
- From among winners of 4th to 10th positions in general women and
men classification will be drawn 2 people who will have to face
anti–doping control.
- Accomodation
- Marathon's
organizer secures all willing participants of accommodation from 9th
to 10th October 2010 in Sport Hall at Chwiałkowskiego Street number 34.
The condition for the accomodation is to mark reservation on the
application form. The oragnizer does not secure mattresses and sleeping
bags.
- Participants will be must present their start numbers.
- Feeding
- Pasta
party will take place on 9th of October between 2 and 8 p.m. in Arena Hall
at Wyspaińskiego Street. Marathon's participants must pay 2 PLN which is not included in the
price of the start fee.
- After the Marathon at the finish point participants will be given a meal and drinks.
- Financing
- The costs of start fees, transprt and other costs are paid by the participants or delegating organizations.
- The following pachage is included in start fee:
- start number and safety pins
- a sponge
- a bag for possesions to a cloackroom
- drinks along the route and at finish
- a spotrs T-shirt
- Final procedures
- Marathon's Organizer secures medical healthcare along the route and at Marathon's finish. All participants can be offered massages made by students of Poznań Physiacal Education Academy.
- Written complaints are
accepted at Marathon's Office:

are settled by Maratho's Director and are absolutely final. They will
be setlled within 3 days.
- Before the run, competitors will have a chance to use the dressing room (a hangar near the changing room). After the run, the competitors will be able to use the changing room and showers.
- Each participant is insured against accidents during the race.
- Participants must wear proper sportswear and trainers.
- All participants must wear start numbers on their T–shirts on the chest. They will be disqualified in case of partly or totally covering it.
- During the Marathon all participants must have a chip tied to the left or right leg at the ankle (by shoelace). Placing the chip in any other part of the body will end up in a disqualification.
- The Poznań Marathon's Direcor makes has the rigth of any kind of interpretations of the above mentioned regualtions.
